If the gas drag heating is strong enough to melt silicates, they solidify after melting and form chondrules, which are spherical components universally contained in chondritic meteorites. We performed numerical simulations of the molten droplet exposed to the high-speed rarefied gas flow taking into account the effect of rotation, and derived the surface deformation of the droplet. We found that the external shape of the droplet well matches with some measured chondrules in the cases that the droplet rotates in the gas flow., 資料番号: AA0063350007}, pages = {25--28}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究本部, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA/ISAS)}, title = {Shock-wave heating model for chondrule formation: Dynamics of molten droplet exposed to rarefied gas flow}, year = {2006} }
