This is the first report to show an evidence that the 14,305 oldest (4.23 Ga) mare basalt (= Mg gabbronorite) forms a cm-scale layered basalt together with VHK (Very High Potassium) basalts as differentiate products, and to link the two separate types of crypt-mare rocks, Mg-rich rocks and VHK basalts. With the old age of the 14,305 VHK basalts, the granites which contaminate the source magma of the VHK basalts might be a direct product of the magma ocean.
