Seismic studies are considered to be a suitable method for examining variations in mechanical properties of consolidated material. We estimated amplitudes of free oscillations and surface waves of small asteroid body excited by three different active sources such as the impact of the satellite at high velocity (approximately 1 km/s), the impact of the seismic probes (penetrator) at relatively low velocity (approximately 100 m/s), and explosive loading on the surface. The calculated amplitudes activated by each seismic source are well observable to analyze the bulk mechanical properties by using LUNAR-A type seismometer. Even if the smaller seismic momentum exited by the explosive loading, Rayleigh waves can be detected more than ten times passing through around the asteroid. This indicates that the active seismic experiments have great potential using 'off-the-shelf' technology at present status., 資料番号: AA0063350043}, pages = {159--162}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究本部, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA/ISAS)}, title = {Investigation of the internal structure of small asteroids by active seismic experiments}, year = {2006} }
