The size distributions of dispersed droplets were investigated with two methods: an image analysis and the recovery of fragments. The distributions obtained with both methods were consistent. Also the representative sizes estimated from the distributions were consistent with the results by the experiments using water and the mixture of water and glycerol. Moreover, the threshold of breakup was obtained to be We approximately equal to 20.
