The cooling rate obtained from the Fe-Mg zoning profile is broadly consistent with that from the CaO profile and is 2 to 5 C/yr (300 to 200 m in depth) for cooling from 1,100 C. The results of recalculation for the cooling rate also show a relatively fast cooling at the high-temperature range.
