This spectral mismatch is explained by space weathering processes, where high-velocity dust particle impacts change the optical properties of the uppermost regolith surface of asteroids. Nanophase metallic iron particles, which are formed through vapor deposition from dust impact heating, are considered as the most essential cause of space weathering. In this study, the spectral changes of meteorite samples are described using nanosecond pulse laser irradiation. As of olivine and pyroxene, reflectance spectra (250 to 2,600 nm) of ordinary chondrites are darkened and reddened. Reflectance spectra of carbonaceous meteorite Allende is also changed by pulse laser irradiation simulating dust impact heating., 資料番号: AA0046650032}, pages = {125--128}, publisher = {宇宙航空研究開発機構宇宙科学研究本部, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA/ISAS)}, title = {Space weathering simulation of surface alteration of asteroids: Pulse-laser irradiation on meteorite samples}, year = {2003} }
