Connectivity of the UAT (Universal Access Transceiver) data link was evaluated between two airplanes, measuring nearly 5 % / 0.05 % disconnection of less/more than 3 sec duration, respectively. The Chelton EFIS system installed with the functions of TIS-B (Traffic Information Service - Broadcast) and FIS-B (Flight Information Service - Broadcast) was evaluated by JAXA research pilots. The 3-dimensional terrain and guidance display was also evaluated by comparing with the \"tunnel-in-the-sky\" display system developed by JAXA. Finally, flight test evaluation of accuracy and availability of GPS/SBAS (Satellite Based Augmentation System) was conducted and the advantage of applying ABAS (Aircraft Based Augmentation System), i.e., GPS/INS hybrid navigation technology was demonstrated to improve the protection
