The reflection intensities of several samples having different surface finishes including black paint and fluorescent paint of different thicknesses were compared. Test results show that surfaces painted with gloss-black or fluorescent (Rhodamine 6G) paint have the lowest reflection among the samples tested and have a significant effect on reducing halation under quasi-mirror reflection conditions. Furthermore, diffuse reflection for a surface painted matt-black has a lower reflection intensity under quasi-mirror conditions.
