Through the improvement, total pressure is stabilized within 5 seconds and thereafter kept +/- 0.10 percent around the target pressure from M(sub infinity) = 1.4 to 4.0. The flow in the test section is highly two-dimensional both horizontally and vertically. Total pressure distribution in the test section settles within 2 percent of the each average values at M(sub infinity) = 1.4 to 4.0. Furthermore, one-man-operation had been made possible by this
