The degree of freedom of ball is introduced and its contact/separation from the inner or outer race is considered. The dynamic response of the turbopump shaft in the unsteady condition with fast acceleration which reaches more than third critical speed is numerically investigated, and the occurrence of the asynchronous vibration component is observed, and the characteristic of the asynchronous vibration component is discussed.
