MSASI is a high-dispersion visible spectrometer working in the spectral range around sodium D2 emission using a Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI). Discoveries of Na, K and Ca from the ground-based observations clearly arise that the regolith of Mercury releases a fraction of its content to the atmosphere. Some processes are proposed up to now as release mechanisms, e.g. (1) Photon-stimulated desorption, (2) Ion sputtering, and (3) Micro-meteoroid impact/vaporization. Here we use 3D Monte Carlo simulation in these cases to describe the images taken by MSASI. We can see specific spatial distributions of the Mercury atmosphere in each process. Therefore we conclude that MSASI can identify the mechanism of the Mercury atmosphere comparing with our simulation
