The balloon was flown for 13 days at a level altitude of 35 km in January 2004 and about 5,700 events were observed over 100 GeV. The detector, PPB-BETS, is an imaging calorimeter composed of a layer of scintillating fiber belts and plastic scintillators inserted alternatively between lead plates. The geometrical factor is about 600 sq cm and the total thickness of lead absorber is 9 radiation lengths. The performance of detector has been confirmed by the CERN-SPS beam test and has also been studied by Monte-Carlo simulations. For the long duration ballooning, we introduced some new technologies as followings; a telemetry system using a commercial satellite of the Iridium, an intelligent power supply by solar batteries, an automatic level control system. A preliminary result of the electron energy spectrum by sampling about 100 electron candidates is presented with a description of the detector, the observation and the method of data
