| 内容記述 | 高速飛行実証は航空宇宙技術研究所(NAL)と宇宙開発事業団(NASDA)が再使用型有翼宇宙輸送系研究開発の一環として共同で実施する一連の飛行実験の1つである。計画はフェーズ1とフェーズ2の2つのフェーズから構成される。フェーズ1の目的は有翼再突入機の帰還フェーズ最終段階の進入着陸システムの検証を行うことである。フェーズ1の飛行実験は2002年10月から11月にかけて、キリバス共和国のクリスマス島で実施された。3回の飛行実験を通して有翼再突入機の帰還での特徴である急傾斜進入における進入着陸システムの検証が行われ、併せて将来の宇宙輸送システムに必須と考えられる完全自律飛行技術が蓄積された。高速飛行実証フェーズ1により得られたデータは、将来の再使用型有翼宇宙輸送系の開発に対して大きな貢献をすることが期待されている。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | A High-Speed Flight Demonstration (HSFD) project is the latest in a series of flight experiments in a joint research program into reusable space transportation systems being conducted by the National Aerospace Laboratory of Japan (NAL) and the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA). The project consists of two phases: Phases 1 and 2. The objective of Phase 1 is to verify approach and landing systems for the final part of the return phase of a winged re-entry vehicle. The Phase 1 flight experiment was conducted on Christmas Island in the Republic of Kiribati, from October to December 2002. Through three flights, the approach and landing system was evaluated during steep gliding, which is characteristic of return flights of winged re-entry vehicles, and autonomous flight technologies essential for future space transportation systems were accumulated. The data obtained from the HSFD Phase 1 is expected to provide essential information for development of future reusable space transportation systems. | |||||||||
