The electrical propulsion system used in the glider was developed in IAT, JAXA, and it is being demonstrated by flight tests. The flight test program is called FEATHER (Flight Demonstration of Electric Aircraft Technology for Harmonized Ecological Revolution). The tested motor mount connects the electric motor and engine mount of the original engine mount. In the structural test, limit load and ultimate load were applied to one motor mount specimen in both vertical and horizontal direction.
