The new model support has new features such as a flange type sting, an automatic rolling motion and enough spaces for sensors with wiring and piping ducts. Not only the accuracies of attitude and position of the model but also operation safety were largely improved by linear guides, electric power drives with instrumentation noise suppressions, and independent final instrumentations. Moreover, an independent control of pitch, roll angle and height serves us various tests such as multi sweeps of angle of attack combined with constant sideslip angles. These features were attained by JAXA's previous survey and considerations, proposals such as operation data tables, as well as cooperation with the manufacturer including preliminary wind tunnel tests.
