Generally rocket turbopump turbines are designed as supersonic impulse turbines, and because of its special specifications, improvements on turbine efficiency and robustness is difficult. Further improvement on turbine design techniques is needed, because turbine performance directly affects engine performance and reliability in a liquid rocket propulsion system. The purpose of present work is to improve turbine design techniques by applying QFD method to the rocket turbopump turbines.
