A supersonic flight experiment has been underway at JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) since September 1997 using a scaled non-powered supersonic experimental airplane launched by a solid rocket booster. This report describes the design and ground testing of the guidance and control system for a solid rocket booster using to launch the experimental airplane. The guidance and control system consists of an Autopilot Computer (AP) and Inertial Navigation Equipment (INE). Features and performance of the system components, results of system analysis and ground testing to approve the functionality and overall performance of the rocket booster's guidance and control system are presented. Similarly this report describes the design and ground testing of the guidance and control system for the experimental airplane using to first flight trial. The guidance and control system consists of a Flight Control Computer (FCC), Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Air Data System (ADS) and G sensor (Accelerometer) based on an all-electric fly-by-wire concept. Features and performance of the system components, results of system analysis and ground testing to approve the functionality and overall performance of the guidance and control system for the
