In the ABIE discharge chamber, magnets as well as a microwave antenna are attached inside so that electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) could be activated and electrons are accelerated by ECR. In this study, plasma generation processes in the ABIE chamber were examined by performing numerical simulations using the Electromagnetic Spacecraft Environment Simulator (EMSES).
