Miyazaki Citizen's Plaza), Miyazaki, Japan, In this study, effect of leading-edge slat position on the slat noise characteristics is investigated by aeroacoustic simulations using Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation toward slat noise reduction. Previous studies indicated that smaller recirculation region in the slat cove with increasing angle of attack results in decrease of broadband noise and narrowband peaks (NBPs). To achieve smaller recirculation region in the slat cove at a target angle of attack, the overlap between slat and main wing is changed.
