内容記述 Computational Fluid Dynamics, with the aid of supercomputers, are becoming in the matured stage for both physical research problems and practical engineering problems. Currently, a method handling complex body configurations and increasing accuracy of the simulations are important topics in the CFD research. In the present paper, new zonal method is proposed to solve these problems. This is an extension of the FSA (Fortified Solution Algorithm for generality, originally called FNS : Fortified Navier-Stokes), zonal method that the present author proposed in the past to improve the local accuracy of the flow field to be simulated. In the present method, The FSA concept is used as an interface strategy and both overset and slightly overlapped zonal methods can be treated in the similar manner. Multi-block method can also be incorporated. Implementation of this idea into existing explicit and implicit codes are easy and both the treatment of complex body configuration and the improvement of the local grid resolution are enabled with a slight modification of the conventional programs. Some of the applications are given and these application examples indicate that the present unified zonal method can be an effective CFD tool for complex flow physics and complex body configurations.
