The facility is composed of Huels-type arc heater and necessary subsystems for power supply, water cooling, evacuation and operation/control. After briefly describing the facility, characterized facility performance and flow conditions for the heating test purposes are presented. It demonstrates the planned simulation capability, in terms of heating and impact pressure, which ranges 0.1 to 5 MW/m^2 of heat flux and 10 to 100 kPa of impact pressure by two operation configuration of vacuum and open-to-air condition. Equipped measurement instruments for various needs both for material testing and studies of aerothermodynamics including state-of-the-art optical and laser diagnostics are also outlined., 資料番号: SA0035234000}, pages = {1--29}, title = {An Arc-Heated High Enthalpy Test Facility for Thermal Protection Studies}, volume = {664}, year = {1996} }
