The potential barrer in creep process is given as a function of the work-hardening, in other words, density of dislocation, and then the relation between the creep rate and the applied stress or the temperature is derived as a creep law. On the basis of this creep theory, the three-dimensional stress-strain relation including the plastic deformation is discussed and the special case is shown where the work-hardening characteristics is expressed by the n'th power of strain. Furthermore, a general variational principle is discussed for the case subject to creep.
