The circuit is designed to get 3kV at the output terminals for the load current of 30 μA. To minimize the size Cockcroft-Walton circuit is applied to rectify the output of an oscillator (60 kHz), and a part of the output voltage is fed back to the bias voltage of the oscillator for the stabilization.
