With the injection of the beam into the plasma column, the thermal energy of plasma nkT sharply increases and, simultaneously, strong X-ray emission from the wall and microwave emission from the plasma at electron cyclotron harmonics ( n・f_, n = 2, 3, 4 …) are obserbed. This microwave emission lasts more than several hundreds of microseconds after the termination oft the relativistic electron beam.
