The temperature dependence of hot hardness resembled to that of high temperature tensile strength, but the temperature dependence of long-time hot hardness did not correspond to that of long-time rupture strength. The effect of cold working before the aging treatment was investigated. Overaging occured faster with increasing cold working. In general, the average grain size increased with aging time regardless of reduction. When the reduction of cold working is lower, the average grain size decreased with increasing reduction, but increased when reduction is higher. It was revealed from these results that recrystallization is accelerated when precipitation occurs simultaneously.
