| 内容記述 | A new method is proposed to control a spacecraft potential in the magnetosphere and interplanetary space in order to measure basic plasma parameters especially for low temperature component of plasma. A pulsed beam is ejected from a spacecraft and a counter streaming plasma current I_e into the spacecraft is measured. The space potential of ambient plasma is identified from the bend on the time variation of [numerical formula] curve and the density and temperature of plasma can be obtained from the values of [numerical formula] and I_e, at the space potential. Another method to use an amplitude modulated electron beam is also proposed and further application is discussed in detail. | |||||||||
