内容記述 During the firing tests of the solid rocket motors developed in our institute, oscillatory combustion was examined by a piezoelectric (AC amplification) and a strain gauge (DC amplification) pick up. The former is an useful tool to detect the small spikes and the latter is the standard method to elucidate the precise wave form of spikes. The spikes in the pressure-time record were subjected to the careful check using a Fourier-analyzer. Detailed time record of the pressure profile is used to distinguish the spikes having shock-front type pressure build-up and those having the sinusoidal growth and decay pattern. These two wave forms may be caused by relatively small fragments ejected through a nozzle throat with high velooity. At the ignition of the main motor propellant, low frequency (less than 25 Hz) pressure rises are accompanied. This profile belongs to the third type. Large fragments of an ignitor, propellant of restrictor also trigger the similar wave form, since the fragments choke a nozzle relatively long time. The fourth type of pressure record is characterized by a steep build-up following by damped oscillation as found usually in the vibration caused by a mechanical shock. These four types of pressure record give the characteristic frequency spectra, respectively, as revealed by a Fourier analyzer.
