No effort was made to remove the surface contamination and, therefore, measured distributions were shown to be diffuse reflection by the presence of adsorbed gases when the incident energies were low enough. With increasing energies, these distributions varied to lobular patterns. This transition occurred between 0.8 and 1.5eV.
