 note = {A balloon-borne stratospheric air-sampling system for measurement of the trace gases CFCl_3,CF_2Cl_2,CO_2,and for analysis of ^<13>C/^<12>C, is described. The system consists of six sampling cylinders, sample inlet line, motor-driven valves, and control electronics. Paticular consideration is payed to the problem of contamination, and various techniques are used. The construction features and operating techniques are given.
