So we newly develop two types of balloon-borne winch systems : the centrifugal brake type and the electric motor type. The former winch, persistently used to reel down the gondola, has descending speeds proportional to the winder diameter. This centrifugal brake type winch is mechanically free from runaway troubles. On the other hand, the electric motor type winch is made possible to rewind the suspending rope several times, so as to be able to scan 600m in depth under the balloon.
