Swimming behaviors of the ciliate Paramecium were investigated under various gravitational environments (1G, low-gravity, and hyper-gravity). Two methods were adopted to describe swimming behavior; 1. observation of two-dimensionally constrained behaviour using a thin chamber. 2. observation of natural three-dimensional swimming behavior using a cubic chamber. It makes possible to avoid effects of mechanical stimuli given by walls.
