These involve a basic concept and introduction of the active integrated antenna and a design concept, and experimental results of a unit cell and the unit patch-plate of the multi-layered active integrated antenna arrays. In this research, the unit cell of the multi-layered active integrated amplifier antenna was achieved with 50 g per 1 W. For much higher output power, a double-stage FET amplifier configuration was tested in the unit cell of the array.
