SPSは低密度かつ大規模な構造物なので，出来る限り小さく梱包しないとロケットで打ち上げることが出来ない．このため，宇宙空間で梱包物を展開したり，組み立てる作業が必要となる．SPS2000を建設するには，骨格の組立，太陽電池パネルの展開，送電アンテナの展開，配置，配線などの作業が必要になるが，そのうち骨格の組立及び組立に必要なロボットについての研究が，宇宙科学研究所長友研究室を中心として行われてきた．ここでは，歴代のトラスビーム組立ロボットの製作と組立実験を通して得られた知見および今後の課題について報告する． |

Since the SPS2000 satellite is a low-density, large-scale structure, the materials required for its construction must be packed up as small as possible by launching with a rocket. Therefore, the tasks which open packages or assemble them in space are needed. In order to build SPS2000, tasks such as assembly of the structures, deployment of the solar -cell panels, assembly of the electric power transmission antenna, and arrangement of power cables are also required. The experimental research concerning robots capable of assembling the structure of SPS2000 has been performed at the Nagatomo laboratory of the Institute of Space and Astronomical Science. This paper describes the knowledge acquired by development of the truss-beam builder and the experimental studies of beam assembly, and future subjects of construction of SPS2000. |
