| 内容記述 | The electrical conductivities obtained from the experiments on MHD power generation with potassium-seeded argon plasmas have been compared with ones directly measured. The gas temperatures are 2000~2500゜K; the pressure, 1 ata ; the seeding ratios, (0.5~2.5)×10^-3 ; and powders of potassium carbonate are used as the seed material. In the experiments on the power generation, the electrical potential distributions in the plasma have been measured for the open and short circuits of the generator. The conductivities of the plasma in applied electric fields have been directly determined by the measurement of both voltage drops doveloped due to the current in the plasma and quality values of an r.f. coil coupled with the plasma. This method of measurement gives an imformation on the distributions of conductivity and current density in the plasma. According to the results of the direct measurement of conductivities, it should been concluded that in Ar-K_2CO_3 plasma the nonuiformity of the conductivity accompained by the constriction of the current appears at low current densities (j=0.6~4A/cm^2). Even in the constriction of the current, the experimental values of conductivity almost agree with the values calculated with a two-temperature model, in which the collision losses by impurity molecules such as CO_2,CO and O_2 and the radiation losses by potassium atoms are taken into account. The values of conductivity estimated from the experimental date on the power generation are much less than those directly measured. This disagreement have been qualitatively explained on the assumption that the non-uniformities of conductivity present in the plasma in generator channel. | |||||||||
