From the hfs of the term 4s4p^3 ^3D_1 the value of the quadrupole moment of As^<75>_<33> was deduced to be Q=(0.32±0.05)・10^<-24> cm^2, in agreement with the value (deduced from the hfs of the configuration 4p5s) given in the literature. The inaccuracy in calculating Q comes partly from the inaccuracy of the theoretical value of the effective nuclear charge for the p-electron. From the hfs of the term 4s4p^3 ^3D_3 the value of the nuclear magnetic moment of As was calculated to be μ=(1.45±0.15) n.m. in agreement with the nuclear induction value.
