Steel. The hardness of electropolished surface was independent of testing load used, but slight hardening was observed on the surfaces finished by fine Emery paper, or buffing. More evident hardening was revealed on machined surface. Moreover, the relation between hardness number and testing load was examined when the shape of diamond pyramid was roof type.
