内容記述 Since F. W. Jensen and A. L. Parrack proposed a new method for chemical analysis in 1946, which has been called "high-frequency titrimetry," several studies have been reported on the method by several researchers. The present authors also took up the problem, and reported, in the preceding paper, that the method was available for the chemical analysis of a minute quantity of substance. In the present paper, the characteristics of an improved apparatus and the determination of a minute quantity of ammonia with the apparatus have been reported. The apparatus which had been set up was reformed from the points of accuracy and sensitivity, so that the titration tube could be inserted in an additional condenser of the oscillator circuit. This change improved the sensitivity and accuracy of the apparatus. The titration tube was designed as to be suitable to determine a minute quantity of Kjeldahl nitrogen which was formed by the decomposition of amino acids or proteins. For the purpose of micro-determination, on the other hand, an ultramicro-burette of capillary type was designed and made, which enabled us to titrate the solution with the accuracy of 0.00001 cc. Using these apparata, extremely dilute solutions of ammonia were titrated with the standard solution of sulfuric acid, when titration curves were measured by plotting the volume of the standard solution added against the current read on M_2. In one series of experiments, the ammonia solutions were directly titrated with sulfuric acid, and, in the other series, they were titrated after added by a given concentration of boric acid. The results were fairly good, indicating that the method was available to determine a minute quantity of ammonia. (Received March 17, 1952)
