The direct shear tests were performed on the statical and dynamical resistance of clay sample. The results of our studies are summarized as: 1) The shearing resistances of both undisturbed and disturbed clay are influenced by the shearing speed. 2) The lowering of yield value by vibration, in case of disturbed clay, may depend on the acceleration of vibration. 3) The empirical formula which represents the relationship between shearing load and shearing deformation was obtained. |
