| 内容記述 | No theoretical inspection on the packing of powders has been yet studied, this report shows an attempt to it. A quantity corresponding to free energy of a unit cell, which is constituted by particles of powder, is assumed analogically to the molecular theory of crystal lattices, and the minimizing condition of it is considered to give the most stable packing. Then a potential energy between particles is introduced under the assumption that it is inversely proportional to the degree of shape-irregularity. An approximate solution of the condition, which gives the void-particle size relationships, is examined by the experimental data given by Roller and Kolthoff. The correspondence is satisfactory. | |||||||||
