| 内容記述 | The cross section for electron scattering by a polar molecule is calculated with taking account of temporary capture of the electron in the dipole field of the molecule. The calculation is based on the second-order time-dependent perturbation theory in which a temporary captured state is to be regarded as an intermediate one. If the dipole moment D of the molecule is relatively large (the numerical example is given for D=2.50×(10)^<-18> esu cm), the scattering cross section is enhanced due to the process of electron capture. | |||||||
