内容記述 This paper presents an approximate approach to base flow behind two-dimensional rearward-facing steps followed with a flat plate placed in a uniform supersonic stream, where the flow field is characterized by a reattaching flow involving the interaction between a shock wave and a turbulent boundary layer near the solid surface. The theoretical development is made on the basis of a modified momentum integral method, in which mixing between an internal dissipative flow and an external nearly isentropic stream is assumed to be of the essential physical process. It is shown that the reattaching flow is capable of supporting considerable pressure increases at high speeds and a correlation can be reasonably obtained between base pressure and Reynold-shape parameter which corresponds to the ratio of thickness of the oncoming boundary layer to the step height. Numerical calculation of base pressure is carried out for free stream Mach numbers of 1.5,2.0 and 3.1,and the results are compared with existing data. It is found that the present theory agrees well with the experiment in the case of low steps, while, in the case of very high steps, it does not predict an abrupt decrease of base pressure due to change in flow pattern, where the existence of a dead-air region with constant pressure is of the essential physical feature.
