The measurement of small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) is an effective method for the investigation of the superstructure in the solid and liqlid. In the SAXS experiment, the scattered intensity is so weak that the high accuracy in the measurement can not be obtained by the use of pinhole collimators. Accordingly, the measurement must be made by the use of slit collimators for the sake of a sufficiently high energy of the primary beam. Owing to these difficulties in the measurement, the SAXS method has not been generally applied to the quantative analysis of the superstructure. In this stydy, a Kratky U-slit SAXS camera was newly designed taking care of several important respects. By the use of this camera, the SAXS intensity for pinhole collimators or infinitely-long-slit collimators could be obtained precisely, and so the superstructure could be analyzed quantitatively by the SAXS curve. |
