| 内容記述 | A numerical calculation of the two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations is used to explain the behavior of a nonlinear disturbance in a parallel shear flow similar to a flat plate wake. On the upstream boundary, the flow is excited by two modes with close frequencies. The interaction between the two modes is examined. The numerical results explain a suppression effect by the stronger mode. An elementary process of randomization of disturbances is also explained by the results that the smaller mode is amplified where a low frequency mode is remarkably produced by the two excited modes. | |||||||
