This is due to the fact that the air remains adsorbed on the surface of the grains or remains suspended among the grain particles. However, if water is poured into the sample, which is in high vacuum state of about 10^<-3> mmHg, no air will remain in the sample. With this idea in mind the authors have constructed a new apparatus for this purpose and obtained very good results. They can, moreover, make a decided criticism of the usual methods authorized by American and Japanese Industrial Standards in wide use today (Received October 25, 1951), 資料番号: SA2410111000}, pages = {253--257}, title = {粒状物質の眞比重の精密測定に就いて}, volume = {5}, year = {1951} }
