この論文は,單葉翼の空氣力學的性質に及ぼす地面の影響を取扱つたものである.論文の前半(§§2-3)に於ては理論的計算を行ひ,翼弦の長さ及び翼斷面の厚さを考慮する從來よりも精密な取扱ひを試みた.計算の結果は簡單な形式に表はし,實際問題に直ちに適用出來る様にしてある.論文の後半(§§4-8)に於ては,當所飛行機部に於て行つた風洞實驗に就いて述べる.揚力係數が極めて大きい場合を除くときは,實驗の結果と計算によつて推定した結果とはよく一致する.揚力係數c_zの與へられた値に於ける抵抗係數c_x,前縁周りのモーメント係數(頭重正)c_m,及び迎角αに關する地面效果は次の様に要約することが出來る.即ちc_xのすべての値に對してc_xは減少;小さいc_zの値に對してはc_m減少α増加;大きいc_zの値に對してはc_m増加α滅少;但しc_mの變化は僅かである.最大揚力は地面との距離が普通の場合には幾分減少し,距離が極端に小さくなると増加する.尚この論文の概要は,日本航空學會誌第4巻第26號(昭和12年6月)に邦文で發表してある. |

The present paper deals with the effect of ground on the aerodynamic characteristics of a monoplane wing. In the first part of the paper theoretical calculations are worked out, taking into account the finite dimensions of the chord and the thickness of the wing. The results of these calculations are then reduced to a simple form, readily applicable in practice. The second part of the paper contains the results of wing model experiments that were carried cut at the Aeronautical Research Institute. For moderate values of lift coefficient, the calculated effects of ground agree very well with the results from experiment. The changes in the drag coefficient c_x, the coefficient of pitching moment about the leading edge c_m, and the angle of attack α due to the ground effect at a certain value of the lift coefficient c_z may be summarized as follows: c_x is reduced for all values of c_z, c_m is reduced and α is increased for small values of c_z, and c_m is increased and α is reduced for large values of c_z. The maximum lift is somewhat reduced when the distance of the wing above the ground is of moderate value, while it is increased when the distance becomes unusually small. |
