| 内容記述 | Improvement of Pressure-Measuring Element of Altimeter. By K. Tomiduka.-A new type invented by the author (Japanese patent No. 72726) is described in the paper.(Figs. 1 and 3) Special supporting frames, attached on central pieces of both diaphragms of an aneroid capsule, support the load due to atmospheric pressure which falls on central piece, and prevent it from acting externally upon the control spring, in every time when indication is not required. Drift effect of spring thus eliminated. Indication is done by transferring the said load from supporting frame upon the control spring, by simply pulling down aneroid with supporting frames. In this procedure, the load is gradually transferred from support to control spring, and finally the critical point is reached, where the contact between support just separates and the load is fully transferred on the spring, giving the measure of atmospheric pressure, which in turn indicates the height. As any appreciable relative displacement does not occur between aneroid centres, the hysteresis error naturally becomes minimum, and moreover it allows very simple and robust construction of the diaphragm, thus the difficulty is completely eliminated. Electrical device for indicating precisely the instant of contact separation is added. This latter is utilized as statoscope by simple modification of the electrical connection. | |||||||
