| 内容記述 | On the Exhaustion and Cooling of Altitude Chamber. By K. Tomiduka and S. Urata: -An experiment of cooling the air admitted to the altitude chamber, utilizing the temperature drop due to adiabatic expansion by a simple adaptation of Rateau's exhaust turbo-compressor is formerly described by K. Tomiduka and M. Kobayasi.(Journ. of Aeronaut. Res. Inst. No. 41 and No. 42.) The present paper includes the extension of the former investigation. Firstly. an experiment on a ccnvergent-divergent nozzles which took the place of the original convergent ones is stated. They showed a slight improvement at depression higher than critical pressure. Secondly, an idea of increasing the depression by utilizing the pumping action of the compressor is stated. In this method, kinetic energy of expanding air is utilized in compressing the air which is to be pumped from altitude chamber to atmosphere, thus the depression of the chamber being increased. | |||||||||
