| 内容記述 | The present paper deals with the calculation of induced resistance of a monoplane wing whose circulation distribution along the span is kwown. The treatment of the problem is similar to Tani's work "A Simple Method of Calculating the Induced Velocity of a Monoplane Wing" (Rep. Aero. Res. Inst., Tokyo Imp. Univ., No.111, Aug., 1934), and is based on the same idea as Gauss' method of approximate integration. The result is summarised as follows: [numericalformula] where V is the speed, S is the area, b is the span, y is the distance from centre of span, and Γ_1, Γ_2 and Γ_3 are the values of circulation at 2y/b=0,0・5 and 0.8 respectively. This result is estimated to be accurate within 1 or 2 per cent to the exact value. | |||||||||
