OREX (Orbital Reentry Experiment) was performed taking the opportunity of H-2 TF (Test Flight) No. 1 on Feb. 4, 1994. A result of one of the main purpose of OREX, acquisition of fundamental data of aerothermo- and aerodynamics during reentry is reported. As to aerothermodynamics, comparison between wind tunnel test data and values estimated from Fay & Riddell method was evaluated before a flight experiment. After the experiment, heating rate induced from flight orbit using Fay & Riddell method validated before was evaluated. And a temperature at the stagnation point was calculated using thermal-analysis model, then the value was compared with flight data.
