The success of the flight depended entirely on an on-board flight control system, because the experimental aircraft was an unmanned, control configured vehicle. This paper summarizes the control laws and shows the results of the actual flight in comparison with a simulated flight. The flight data show that the control laws provided enough stability and control performance. The stability and control derivative estimates are also presented to assess the validity of the design model. The derivatives were obtained using a maximum likelihood estimation program. The flight results agreed with predictions fairly well except a few
